Something, Something about this place Something ‘bout New York nights and my lipstick on your face Something, Something ‘bout my cool American guy Yeah, something about baby, You and I Something, Something about the chase, Six whole years Something, Something about just knowing when it’s right So put your drinks up, Baby, You and I
“When I say, “I love you,” it’s not because I want you or because I can’t have you. It has nothing to do with me. I love what you are, what you do, how you try. I’ve seen your kindness and your strength. I’ve seen the best and the worst of you. And I understand with perfect clarity exactly what you are. You’re a hell of a woman.” - Joss Whedon

This weekend I found out how much I love Westchester. The train ride is faster to the city, my boyfriend lives about two minutes from a park right on the hudson where you can see the skyline down one end and the tappen zee glowing on the other, and they have much more wildlife. Long Island still has its beaches, though. Always a one-up.

“Next year, I’m going to tell those guys ‘There’s this girl, and you should be honored that I left her behind to play for this team. When you guys want me to go out and pick up girls with you when we have a weekend off, I’m going to have to say no, because I need to drive to Oneonta to see her because i miss her.’ Eventually you’ll forget about me, I’ll just become your ex-boyfriend from freshman year whose name you can’t even remember. But that’s okay, because I will have something that no other guy will ever have with you.”
And then he played this song and I tried not to cry.
